Analyzing Movie Posters – I AM SAM & Little Miss Sunshine.
These two films, Little Miss Sunshine and I AM SAM are two films that relate too our own production, Lost For Words. Both of the narrative follow the lives of a families, in the case of Little Miss Sunshine it is extremely large, however in I AM SAM its a contrasting very small family. Both posters, have yellow back grounds and have images showing the whole family and the relationships between each other. Both have all star casts as a unique selling point, I AM SAM, featuring Sean Penn, and Little Miss Sunshine featuring Steve Carell more known for his comedy roles. Both narratives are in fact quite upbeat and cheerful in a sense, however both narratives have their ups and downs in terms of character's emotions and the relationships between the characters. And which is very interesting in terms of narrative, similar to our own project, the adults are almost lead by the children, through their believes and high spirits about achieving their dreams.
